If you find one or two moths in your home then you generally do not think much of it, however; if you are constantly finding moths in your home then you may have an infestation and will need to adopt strict pest control measures.
There are three types of moths that you may typically find in your home. The Clothes Moth and the Brown House Moth both damage clothing, though the Brown House Moth will only damage animal-based fabrics such as leather, wool or feathers.
The third type of moth is the White Shouldered House Moth which does not damage clothes; it does, however, lay its eggs in food. The larvae will then hatch in the food and use it for nourishment as it grows.
A female House Moth can lay up to 650 eggs at any one time so the best method of pest control is to ideally prevent the problem before it begins. If you suspect that you may have an infestation then check your clothes for signs of damage.
